Groundwater is one of the most precious resources in Pinal County. An extended period of drought, overuse in the past, and rapid population growth has placed unsustainable demands on groundwater resources in Pinal. This specialized STEM curriculum focuses on groundwater education and conservation. The aim is to educate 6-12th grade students on the importance of the groundwater system and ways to conserve this precious resource for the future. This STEM based educational program consist of three parts:
1. Groundwater System Exploration
2. Water Conservation and Conservation Technology Inquiry
3. Hands-on water audit activity
